Sweet Strawberries

Strawberries sliced evenly from top to bottom will form heart shapes - a perfectly festive reason to add them to cereal and/or yogurt, and deliver your breakfasts with a little love, plus some extra vitamin A, C, B6, fiber, potassium, and antioxidants...not just for Valentine's Day, but a fruit to serve every day!

Strawberries are not just appealing as beautiful deep red juicy fruits, but are also very healthy when eaten alone as a snack, included in your salads and side dishes, or mixed into delicious desserts. Freeze strawberry slices with orange juice and pour into popsicle molds for fresh frozen fruit treats.

Serve up some more strawberry sweetness:
Berry Sweet Bouquet - chocolate-dipped strawberry roses.
Homemade Valentine's Pop-Tarts - pie crust and jam with heart cutouts.
Strawberry Shortcake - my favorite easy recipe for layered strawberry shortcake with cream cheese. :-)

"The big, hungry Bear can smell a red, ripe strawberry a mile away..." What's a mouse to do? This story is delightful for readers of all ages, but is aimed at teaching valuable sharing skills to toddlers and preschoolers.

With vivid illustrations and a captivating rhyming tale, The Big Hungry Bear has a good chance to become an old, yet new favorite...
