Snowman Weekend Kit

With plenty of pairs of mittens to keep little hands warm and toasty, a blizzard of indoor snowmen can be built from the bottom up - ending with a marvelous top hat, of course...

The weekend kit is a completely themed day for families to enjoy activities, crafts, fun recipes, games, and stories together. I'll try to include multiple projects in various age ranges so you can choose what's appropriate for each of your family members. :-)

Snowman Craft:
Pinecone Snowmen - Sledding on wooden popsicle sticks.

Snowman Coloring / Printable:
Snowman Puppet - You can also use string or twisty ties to hold the pieces together.

Sparkling Snowman Play Dough
* 2 cups flour
* 1 cup salt
* 2 cups water
* 4 tsp. cream of tartar
* 4 tsp. vegetable oil
* Glitter

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan (except for the glitter), and stir constantly over medium heat until the mixture thickens and forms into a ball. Let cool, then knead until smooth, while adding glitter. Store your dough in an airtight container, or in a plastic bag with the air pressed out of it.

Snowmen Recipes:

Marshmallow Snowmen - Crafty food snack for kids.

Snowman Stew - Fun dinner recipe to complete today's snowman theme.

Snowman Story:
Snowmen at Night is a fun book to accompany your snowman activities for the day.

This whimsical tale of how snowmen come alive at night when no one is watching, is filled to the brim with beautiful illustrations and an imaginative story, making it one of our favorites this season.
